Employment agencies chicago or NYC

Hello everyone,

I have just graduated from a state school in Miami with a GPA of 3.5 and two degrees (Finance and Economics)

I initially wanted to work as an analyst for equities or futures/commodities market.

I just have no idea of where to look for this type of position.

Would you guys recommend me using an employment agency ?!

Any help is much appreciated.

DisincentivyGlocap in NYC

Fantastic agency.

Ha ha, they are the best (sarcasm very much intended)

To be honest, it will not be easy getting attention from recruiters not having work experience. Some of the bigger places like Michael Page and Robert Half do temp and operations recruiting, so they may be your best bet. I would highly recommend networking with alumni and friends though.

DisincentivyHave you had a problem with Glocap before ginNtonic? I am interested in hearing about it.

The place has been a resume black hole for me, unless I'm overly qualified for a position (e.g. a $100MM Family FoF). All of my past submissions have been "pending evaluation," "should be contacted shortly," or something along those lines. It's probably that I didn't go to HYP and I didn't get a 1600, that I didn't stand out. But none of other larger HHs out there didn't discriminate based on that.

I appreciate the comments. I noticed that for some of those employment agencies there is a place to submit resume, is that how I should start? or I have to call and make an appointment ?! I am new to this so I have no idea of how to proceed.

Thanks!
