ethnicity for SA '25 applications
I'm a quarter Latin American with a Hispanic last name, but look about as white as it gets. Is it fine to check the "Hispanic/Latino" box when I apply to summer roles? I'm not going to apply for any of the diversity programs that banks offer. Also applying from a top target, so was wondering if it's even worth doing this. I've traditionally just put "White," but with the current state of hiring I feel inclined to take every break I can get. Thanks.
You can claim Latino or mixed ethnicity but if you look white you likely won't clear the DEI bar at interviews. They prefer DEI candidates who look DEI.
Sounds like the IU Kelley special...
