Incoming FT analyst at boutique credit shop (not NY). A family friend (really just a business friend one of my Moms friends) is a journalist at a respectable business newspaper, not huge or anything, and basically she's doing a list of some respected leaders with 2-3 softball questions they answer via email. They want to interview the CEO. Does it hurt sending an email to ask if he's interested or would that come off badly. If it means anything everyone at the shop is really laid back, and I've had a couple good conversations with CEO during my internship. They do have a couple marketing people so I wouldn't want to step on their feet.
