Expense taxi or subway fare to get to superday

So I have to fly into NYC for final round interviews between 1pm-4pm. Company obviously isn't paying for me to stay at a hotel meaning I have to be all decked out in my pin strip suit during the entire trip.

Do most people just expense the $120 ($60+$60) taxi fare on the company. Or should I be a little more cost conscience and just take the subway/airport van services???

Normally if it was a two day event I would just wear jeans and a polo and ride the subway/van service to the hotel and then change.

Any recommendations or things I should know about getting from LGA/JFK to the financial district the quickest?

CD, he's just saying they're not paying for him to stay overnight at a hotel. They're covering his flight and travel to and from the airport (probably can get away with a meal as well).

Also, pinstripe suit is fine - just being a smartass. Just be sure to wear and dark suit (charcoal, navy) and if it has stripes, make sure they're fairly subtle.

Thanks for the responses. I'll just expense the taxi fare on the expense form and not feel bad about.

Definitely not walking in with strong pinstripes, its a dark charcoal suit with subtle pinstripes. I m just looking for a small pop feature from all the black suits that most interviewees wear.

I'll look into the helicopter option. ^Sarcasm
