Extreme things/lengths you’ve done to land a job

It’s a brutal market out here. Im a recent grad with sophomore IB internship, MF junior internship, and at a semi target. I had 4 super days with (2 EBs, 1 BB, 1 regional boutique) and I’m getting beat out by laterals hires with 1-2 yrs of experience. It’s very frustrating but was curious on the craziest thing yall have done to land a job. Also, any advice would be appreciated as well! God Bless!

MF PE or MF PC what type of role was it for your junior summer? Also, I don't think you would be competing with lateral hires as a fresh graduate. Never heard of anyone from MF investing role not get a solid gig, especially in the sell-side. FYI, its not uncommon to have multiple investment banking internships during college nowadays.

Yeah, I don't think its realistic for you to compete with lateral hires. Even at a microcap regional boutique or say DA Davidson type shop, the experience will be extremely transferrable and laterals will be able to hit the ground running ASAP compared to a fresh college graduate. You do know that there are bunch of regional boutiques like Lincoln or like Cantor that you can network with, right? I've seen someone with exponentially less impressive background get a job at one of the mentioned shops.
