Currently work within a family office for a global private conglomerate, although my role seems to be a blur between PE and corporate development of holding companies.
Although I am getting good transaction experience here I am concerned about my long term prospects given the lack of progression in this role and how people of my background place in terms of recruiting. I don't have prior IB experience - is it plausible to make the jump to PE or should I go the banking route? (would not prefer the latter)
