Feeling Lost after starting Masters. Where do I start?

I graduated with a degree in biomedical engineering a few years back. After working in the med dev industry, I decided to go back to school & pursue a Masters in Comp Sci with the hopes of landing a Quant Finance job. (My previous work experience was very data science/trend analysis heavy)

I feel lost though. Its so weird starting school during covid and there are no on-campus networking events going on. These types of events and extracurriculars helped me land my first internship during undergrad.

But now, theres nothing going on & I'm just so lost on how to even begin this job search. All of my experience has been in med dev and I feel like I pidgeon holed myself and it's been really hard to break out of.

&from what it seems like, quant jobs are mainly in hedge funds and those are crazy selective to begin with.

Dont know where to start...
