Financial Sponsors Group Technicals- help me leave my toxic bank!
Hey people- got an interview at the Analyst 1 level for the Financial Sponsors Group at a BB. Can anyone help me with what sort of technicals to expect and how best to prep for this?
Quite excited for this opportunity as my current bank has a terrible team dynamic and is very toxic. Got an Associate who takes every chance to belittle me and discredit my work in front of seniors and the VPs have been assiging me ridiculous amounts of work with an unreasonable turnaround time. Help me get out boys!

is FSG really one of the more toxic groups?
Depends on the bank but if the group is holding the pen on the model then yes
What’s most important is that you need to understand if they’re a PE relationship team or if they hold the pen on LBO’s with LevFin & the coverage team. If it’s the latter, you need a good “why FSG” because deals are so general.

Could you please explain the main modeling expectations & tasks for an analyst in a FSG team that holds the pen? College student just trying to learn.
