Firm asked me to fill out an application

Hi,

I've been interviewing for a product development role at an asset manager, and I have been in their office 3 different times, and have met with 6 different people. I've met with my potential manager twice, as well as my potential teammate. Recently, they had me fill out an application.

I am assuming all of this good (otherwise, why waste their time and mine?), but how long does it typically take for HR to make a decision? The firm is pretty big approx 70B in AUM. Any help would great.

Don't get excited. Rather common for companies to ask this of applicants that reach final interviews. I guess it would just help accelerate the background check / on-boarding process should you be extended an offer.

Yes i think it is safe to assume that you are still in the race. Theres no point for 6 of them to spare time out to meet with you if theres no prospect of making an offer.

Out of interest --- how did the 'application process' started for this role?
