Hard to get a proper job description for summer analyst position but I have this description of what the GTM division does. ( All that in the interest of the clients) Clear in excess of USD 7trn payments daily Provide innovative financing solutions for cross-border trade, supply chains and large capital expenditure projects Concentrate and optimize hundreds of billions of dollars of cash across over 40 currencies Continually innovate and improve our service, including partnerships with FinTech organisations.
It's front office but not traditional front office.. Definitely client facing, but flogging treasury solutions and cash management services isn't exactly my idea of interesting - different strokes for different folks.
Front office. They interact with clients on the daily, create and pitch services, have PnL, etc. Clients are the CFOs of corporations and financial institutions and the positions under the CFO (controllers, treasurers, etc.). There are MO and BO positions specific to GTM that GTM need to open and service client accounts like servicing roles in operations, but GTM refers to the FO sales and product roles.
