So I was interviewed at a consulting firm in summer and got dinged. Just noticed they post the same position again recently, so I sent out an email to the MD who interviewed me back then, saying I'm still quite interested.
I had no expectation bofre, but the MD checked my LinkedIn profile not long after I sent out that email (I guess through the link in my email signature). So what now? Should I send out another email to follow up since I didn't attach my resume in my first email? But I definitely don't wanna be annoying.

Let me make this clear. You got dinged in the summer, then reached out to MD how interviewed you. He checked your LinkedIn (most likely to get a refresher on who you are), but choose not not make contact, despite the fact that you made it clear you were still interested in the job. I think you got your answer already....
