FP&A --> Corporate Treasury. Bad move?
hey all - my company stresses moving around the org. after two years or so. this could mean to a different finance group or moving onto the business side entirely.
to be honest, i am looking for a role without too much stress where i can do good work, put in my 40 hours and then head home to family.
anyway, i am contemplating investigating the treasury group and i am wondering if that is a poor decision from a career standpoint or if its aligned with what i am looking for/would be OK experience to get more well-rounded.
thoughts? advice?

Can you elaborate on your current work experience, and the size of your company? Do you like FP&A, or is the work/hours not what you're interested in?
If your company encourages junior talent to transfer between groups, then Treasury could work in your favor by offering some new skill development without the move being frowned upon. If you went straight into FP&A out of school it's easy to get pigeonholed into the field and have to go back for your Master's degree to pivot into something else.
Size of company is a significant factor as well. Treasury in a medium size US company will be different from a multi-national corporation having a more sophisticated Treasury division managing liquidity and forex risk across different geographies.
Here is a thread with some good material: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/more-enjoyable-fpa-vs-treasury
There's also a newer thread called "The Road Less Traveled" or something like that which discusses finance roles with better work life balance.
