Full-Time IB Offer Rescinded - Looking for a New Role
I was informed yesterday that my full-time offer that I signed onto in August has been rescinded and now I am less than 1 month away from graduating college without a job. I was supposed to be working at a middle market investment bank doing M&A. I now find myself in a position where virtually almost every company has a hiring freeze and there's no end in sight. I am a double major in accounting and finance from a solid state school with a 3.95+ GPA. If anyone has any advice on what to do, that would be great because I am completely lost!
Sorry to hear that man, same thing happened to me earlier this week. I saw that FTP has an opening.
Would you mind specifying geography/industry, or if the bank isn't too small, the name of the firm? Could be valuable for others looking to recruit there.
I'll provide a little more detail, but the firm is small enough that I probably shouldn't provide the name. They are on the Lower Middle Market side based on their deal values. Most of their operations are out of Chicago and they do a lot in healthcare, consumer, industrials, and environmental services. They have around 100 employees.
