Fulltime IB Offer with no SA Experience
Been a while since I posted here.
I'm currently working in an Ops role at a global bank for my junior year internship and I've decided I want to do banking full time as my first option and priority.
My resume is pretty scrappy, but I go to a target, decent gpa, and I have very good entrepreneurial experience, which I'm told would suit better for consulting rather than IB. However, I've been pondering this decision heavily and I decided there's no better way to jumpstart my career than to do an IB stint and then move forward from there. I also think it'd be good to build the work ethic that's necessary in IB.
My question is: how hard is it to get a full time offer at a middle-top firm as a full-time IB analyst without any summer experience? I know the industry has been extremely slow recently, but even if I have connections and a network, would it just be difficult to get a role considering my lack of banking experience?
Thank you everyone!
