Had a conversation with a managing director at a pretty decent sized MM bank earlier this summer for an internship. Guy was genuinely nice. Had a family that we talked about for a while, had some hobbies that we chatted about, then had a fantastic conversation about their team and what deals they look for. Think I got major kudos from him because he put me in touch with a number of his teammates after the call.
Is this as rare as this site makes it sound?? I was taken back at how decent this guy was (and he was in the middle of a deal) and am wondering if this is rare. To be clear: I am using this as a factor to accept/turn down an internship offer from this company. Other teams have been less cool with far less cool MDs.
