Getting Into Industy W/O MBA
Is there a way to get into the industry, and STAY in the industry, without completing an MBA? Would a CFA® be comparable, at least for AM/IM/HF/etc? If it's possible, do any of you have advice on how to accomplish it? Thanks.
Of course. In fact, most people in sales and trading and probably at least half the managers in Equity Research don't have an MBA.
For IBD, yes, most people have MBAs. However, all you need for trading and asset management is a college degree. (Ideally something quantitative in trading)
CFA is sufficient for the HF world.
How do accomplish it? Pass the tests, do good work.
Don't even need a CFA for the hedge fund world.
