Goldman Sachs Portal Status still says "Interview". Am I still in the running?
I applied for a position in GS IMD. I received a phone interview with a VP, then was invited onsite (NYC) for a 2.5 hour interview with 6 people. It's been 2 weeks since the interview. I got impatient and contacted the recruiter later in the week of the interview, and was told they don't have an update, but will contact me when they do. The date on the application in my portal changed to reflect the interview date, but the status "interview" has remained unchanged. I was wondering if anyone experienced this, and what was the outcome. I've seen similar posts on here, but no one has posted an update. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!
FWIW as a data point I had the same thing happen on the GS portal for an IMD role after a first round and it didn't reflect my ding until over a month later. Could be due to the timing with the 4th though. To clarify, this was from last years cycle which could obviously be different.
I'm sorry, what do you mean by ding? I'm new here, so I don't understand all the lingo yet. Thank you for your response though. One of the VPs gave me his card, and told me to reach out even if this doesn't go through, and another associate was also super nice and told me to feel free to contact her as well. Do you think I should wait for a response from the recruiter, or reach out to maybe the associate or VP myself?
I will reach out to see if they have any updates. Doing that will sound that you are interested and that you care.
Sorry, meaning to be turned down, which doesn't always happen directly, sometimes you can just get ghosted which is always a shame.
