Good positions in Merrill Lynch?

Can someone tell me a good starting entry level position in Merrill Lynch? Do they have private equity? I'm currently an intern at a local branch and want to apply for a position possibly in the NY headquarters. Which department is the hardest to get into? Thanks for the help!!

Search please search I'm begging you for the sake of not getting horribly flamed, just search everywhere.

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

If this isn't a joke, then, like NB84 said, you're very, very confused.

It sounds like a joke because when you look for a job, you go for a type of position (banking, trading, etc.), not a particular firm. Maybe you think you have your foot in the ML door because you work there? But that's not really true, since local PWM branches are pretty independent from the central firm functions.

Oh yeah, not to mention that PWM is the only part of the firm that kept the Merrill name.

One of those lights, slightly brighter than the rest, will be my wingtip passing over.
