Got a pretty unique opportunity & not sure how to make the most of it

I'll be spending a year in Dubai as of September..it's through a program and we'll be placed with a company based off our accounting/finance knowledge. I assume the top few will get the more desirable places.

I just graduated from college, and struck out with both bulge brackets and middle market when it came to IB recruiting. I'd like to take another shot when I come back though, but I really don't know what to do in the meantime other than what I'm doing now (cold contacting through LinkedIn). I'm also worried that I'd be at a disadvantage for Analyst positions, given that they're most filled by recent grads.

Basically I'm afraid that I'd have to wait till after business school to get back in the mix. Any ideas on how to proceed after that year in Dubai (or what kind of networking I'm supposed to do while there) would be great. Thanks!
