Got a response to a cold email... now what?
I'm currently a sophomore finance student at a non-target. Recently I've been asking around my family and friends and seeing if any of them know anyone who works in finance that I can contact. After sending out a mass of cold emails, I've gotten one response where the contact, who is a partner at a multi billion dollar Asset Management firm, has invited me to come to the firm's office and meet the partners.
What should I expect from this invite, other than handshakes and talks about my future? I'm researching the firm as much as I can and am formulating a decent list of questions to ask who I talk with that are tailored specifically to the deals this firm deals with.
Know the firm's strategy, and come up with some thoughtful questions. Be ready to talk about any past experiences and how you're involved on campus. Show a genuine interest in finance and investing
Congrats, at least you got a response
