Greenhill Chicago vs BAML Chicago vs William Blair Chicago vs Goldman Chicago

Thoughts? Greenhill has all of their industrials housed out of the Chicago office, while BAML and GS focus on just a few areas (agriculture, automotive). Blair Chicago is obviously the HQ, but is also MM. Thoughts on Comp/Exit Opps/value of staying in Chicago?

Can speak to Greenhill… Overall seemingly strong group with nice people. While parts of Greenhill have stagnated a bit in recent years, this office has doubled in last few yrs. Get the sense comp is pretty solid (analysts at $200k or more last yr). Seems to be a good amount of senior interaction and interesting work (ie more than just vanilla sell sides). Exits historically have been very strong on a per capita basis (only 3-4 analysts per class) and seemingly not limited by being in Chicago, but maybe the quality of the exits has dropped a tad in the last couple yrs. Few funds analysts have landed at: Thoma Bravo, Golden Gate, Madison Dearborn, Warburg Pincus
