Had an interview with no questions

Hello all, I recently had an interview where they did not ask any questions beyond a "walk me through your CV." I looked up questions about the role on Glassdoor and indeed, but none of them came up. It was basically a conversation about anything other than the role. Is it safe to assume they wanted to see my personality and find the answer to "can we work with this kid for 40+ hours a week for the foreseeable future?"

You just have to walk through your strength as a candidate, pitch yourself, and describe how you are a fit for the role and will be an asset to the team.

If you have any questions about the role, you are free to ask them in the interview. Interviews should always be two-way. They are interviewing you, but you are interviewing them as well.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

Hi Isaiah, thanks for the response! I received/accepted an offer from them, I just found it kind of odd we talked about everything except the role. I did ask questions like : What differentiates a good XXX from a great XXX; The description seems rather reactive how does one be proactive in this position; What's a question you wish you I asked; etc.

Have had this happen as well. It's usually a good sign, means they're leaning towards giving you an offer. At least that's what happened in my case.

To infinity... and beyond!

This.

These types of interviews occasionally happen, and it's basically on you to lose the job here. They've already decided that you're at the top of the list within two minutes of meeting, and the interviewer then wants to see if you're a chill guy/gal who will mesh well with the team.

I once had an interview where the interviewer was 7 minutes late, and after I walked him through my resume we basically talked for 20min about golf (I had something referencing golf on my resume) and some favorite golf courses in the area. Was a slam dunk and of course I got an offer, hence why I always suggest people throw a line on their resume about their favorite hobbies/interests.
