Healthcare IT - Industry & Market Research

All - Have an interview coming up with a Healthcare IT company (HCIT) and was wondering if anyone had access to equity research or market research they would be willing to share?

Industry and company specific documents are welcome.

Appreciate any help.

So...Health IT is a broad spectrum...

Looking at EHR? Cerner is publically traded and the #2 vendor in the EHR space (Epic is #1, but privately held and Judy Faulkner will likely always keep it that way)

PACS? GE has this market cornered through a variety of subsidiaries...

Revenue Cycle? HCA and Tenet have RCM arms (also check out HFMA.org for some industry information)

Also think about thought leadership from various consulting firms in the area...Deloitte, KPMG, ECG, Impact Advisors, PwC etc. etc.

Thanks Birdo.

Nailed it with EHR think Cerner, EPIC, CPSI, Allscripts, athenahealth, Quality Systems, etc. You have access to any research reports? Been digging through 10-K's, Investor Presentations, Earnings Calls, and VIC write-ups. Got some good intel.

You work in HCIT? You like it?

Nope...in the delivery space but we're dependent on our IT systems.

Just managed (er....project controlled...?) our Epic implementation and working through the follow-on ERP work now.

Interesting space, although not the panacea everyone thinks it is. Still, the newer EHRs are light years ahead of the EHRs of the early 2000s.
