Hearing Back from Superday

Hi WSO,

Recently had an IB SuperDay at a small shop, and I was told that I should hear back within 2 days, but it's been nearly 5 days (including the weekends). I know processes can take 1-2 week but this is a very small office and was told very specifically that I would hear back soon. What could this mean? Thought I had performed well on the interviews, but clearly there may have seemed to be better candidates. Would it be okay to send a follow up email, if so how I would approach that?
