HELP! Desperate freshman
Hi, I'm currently a freshman right now. I recently interviewed for a boutique ib and received an offer as a capital markets intern for the summer. I thought they would pay hourly, but told me they would give me a bonus for every deal I closed and labeled me as a 1099. Would it be wise to take the offer as I am still a freshman or should I be looking for something else? I would be working 40 hours per week.
del.
No reputable shop would expect, or allow, an intern to close deals. Probably a scam trying to get you to work for free, and the work would be cold calling. Give these jokers a hard next and keep looking. P.S.: As a freshman, you don't need to be "desperate" no matter how much of a hardo you are.
Bro he's a freshman looking to get something on his resume, not a senior looking for a FT job. Plenty of Freshman/Sophomores do unpaid internships for shitty companies just to get something on their resume.
