Help me build a career!

Hi! (I wish you are patient enough to read all this) First, let me talk about moi (or moy, as Titus Andromedon puts it): - I estimate I'll get into the job market in the mid-2020's. - I find the mortgage market and the stock market really fascinating. - In the past, I wanted to be a lawyer. - Bloomberg Terminals are on my dreams. - Don't ask, and I may regret it, but I want to work in something with long hours and a lot of stress (I believe people call this the buzz or adrenaline). - I have no issues about being in a serious (a.k.a. uptight) environment, but could be in a Lewis Ranieri mortgage dep. style of place as well. - I know how to speak, besides English, Spanish and Portuguese and I am learning French and German. In a kind of distant future (the German is still at beginner level) I could learn an Asian language. - I want to travel, but mostly for work or study and to know the language of the place I am in. - I would like to major in Economics. - My math skills are alright, but have room for improvement. I am not really sure how I feel about dealing with people.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you can answer.

"itriedtobecreative" I am not really sure how I feel about dealing with people.

Then you should explore roles in back-office or operational, perhaps even risk management. Financial services is a people business and if you do not want to deal with people, then you won't succeed. Networking is 150% of any front-office job.

"itriedtobecreative" In the past, I wanted to be a lawyer.
Regulatory compliance could be a great fit as well - if you wanted to be a lawyer, then compliance is a great world of legal understanding and financial knowledge.
"itriedtobecreative" I estimate I'll get into the job market in the mid-2020's.

The industry in changing, and in the next three years, be cognizant that the number of front-office roles will continue to dwindle, and there will be ample opportunity in technology, compliance, etc.

Hope this helps
