High Risk Lending Career Path?
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has any insight about what groups or career paths deal with lending to higher risk projects/companies than what a commercial bank would typically deal with? For example, I was wondering if there are banks or firms that specialize in lending money to distressed companies or for long-term, riskier projects or something along those lines?
Basically, I envision myself being someone who analyzes various projects or situations a firm may have and then analyzing whether or not they can pay back the money the firm I'm working for. I know comm/corp banking does this, but it's typically for less risky projects from what I understand (correct me if I'm wrong), so I was wondering if there is a higher-risk line of work that still would involve this sort of thing.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Woops, posted in wrong thread.
Any thoughts at all?
