Hiring Trends: Why financial firms are hiring people with 'non-traditional' backgrounds more

Hey guys,

We talk a lot with finance firms and their hiring / training teams, and one trend we found fascinating was the movement away from the 'business major with a finance focus from Penn, Columbia or Yale' hiring profile.

Instead, financial firms are hiring people from liberal arts and service-based backgrounds (think bartenders, baristas, etc) to fit a new job profile that is less about numbers and more about relationship management.

We dig in with more detail on our blog, hope you enjoy :) - Hiring Trends: Why financial firms are hiring people with 'non-traditional' backgrounds more

Thanks, Tyler
