Now that I have your attention, what is the more prestigious career between the following two categories?

1 - Conqueror/Statesman combo (Napoleon, Caesar, Alexander, Hitler, Lionheart)

2 - PE MF/Ivory Tower IBD (APO, KKR, Rothschild, BNP, CVP, PJT)

The first is not a realistic ‘career.’ No one sets out to become a Caesar or Alexander figure. Yes, history remembers great (maybe not good) men, but there will only be a few each century and fewer than 100 per millennium. I don’t know where any of you all are coming from, but if one of us were going to be a statesman he wouldn’t be shitposting on WSO.

Speak for yourself bozo. I'm currently a politician (2-3 tiers above senator/mp/equivalent) and I'm trying to incite a global conflict so I can lead some infantry into a large, decisive battle from the frontlines.
