Hourly Work on the Side?

My job has been very light and many days I'm only working a couple hours. I think I could honestly do at least 20 hours a week of extra work without any change in my quality of life since I WFH and oftentimes am just scrolling my phone, watching tv, etc.

I was wondering if anyone has ever found decent paying hourly work on the side that leverages a PE skillset. If so what was the type of work, pay, and how do you find jobs like that?

Have you ever considered starting a side hustle? My (personal) opinion is that you would be far better off in the long run building skills/a side business that could eventually turn into a full-time gig should you ever decide to leave. Not to mention the upside is much higher as well (if you built something scalable you could eventually sell it down the road). Whether that be a time for money exchange leveraging your PE skillset (i.e., consulting) or a “recurring” revenue stream (i.e., E-Commerce).
