How do yall organize your networking?
Nontarget with a massive spreadsheet. Is this the standard & normal way to keep track of who I'm in contact with? Is there something I'm missing?

I ran into this exact same problem when I first started networking to break into my current job. I had a CS background from undergrad so I bootstrapped this website together - topfloorguide.com. It's completely free and really just a side-project at the moment given my lack of time, but looking into possibly trying to add more features, bring on someone to partner with and potentially try marketing to see if I can get more traction. Try it out and let me know if it's useful. Hope to make it so you can dump straight from excel into the platform.
Lol not sure how I got ms for posting this. Not trying to be spammy but seems to fit the need of OP and trying to do something entrepreneurial sheesh, tough crowd
Seems par for the course whenever something is promoted on WSO. Still seems like a useful website though. I just took a look back at my ~30 person disorganized spreadsheet, and I could’ve no doubt used this during recruiting.
Appreciate it homie
Ignore the MS, this seems like a super useful tool. Appreciate the work put into this.
thanks for the support. It's still very much a work in progress, but hopefully it can be of use to some people.
Just took a look, interesting project. Is there anyway to bulk insert list of contacts already in excel?
Heard this from several people, and it's something I can hopefully add as a feature in the coming weeks when I get some time on the weekend or at night. I wish this was something I started working on in college when I had much more time
I still use a spreadsheet, since I have been around longer many contacts washed out (laid off), left their jobs (age/retired), quit (rich enough), or are stuck where they were before. Still useful to have that spreadsheet though.
the link posted above looks interesting as well.
The link seems to have been removed
worked for me when i typed it in the browser
the website looks good but surely this is a self promotion
I’d say less self promotion and more so just trying to get more users on the website, but appreciate you checking it out. At the end of the day, I’m just an excel and pp monkey trying to make a few bucks like everyone else
I used a notion dashboard to keep track of replies only, where they work, position, and last contacted along with any notes from calls / emails
I inherited a massive airtable from an upperclassman
Is it all just alumni from your school?
It's like 300 bankers he networked with when he recruited. He was two years above me and we both led the finance club at my school. Most of the contacts are stale by now, though.
