How long for MD to make a hiring decision after interview?
I applied to a small firm. Had a first round phone interview with the MD and the VP. They told me they'd get back in a few days, but sent me an email a few hours later setting up an on-site interview. The on-site interview was actually just lunch with the MD and VP. They seemed more interested in getting to know me as a person.
They told me they were still early in the hiring process, and said they'd follow up in a few days. MD emailed a few days after the interview asking me to elaborate on my background. It's been a week since that email, and almost two weeks since the in-person interview. I've since followed-up with both the MD and VP a day ago, but I haven't received a reply.
Should I accept this as a silent rejection? Or does it normally just take time for a response from a MD & VP?
That's a tilter. I would follow up. You sound like a good candidate, so maybe they just didn't see your last email (because they were busy).
