How long to hear back from Final Interview?

For quick reference, I was interviewing for ER 12 Month Intern position at a BB bank. I had a HR interview 2 Wednesdays ago, a Phone Interview with a MD and an associate on Monday and finally another interview with MD's and an associate on Wednesday. I thought the interviews went well. I was told I would hear back very soon, and I haven't. I am just wondering what you think chances are moving forward. I've heard here mainly that if you don't get an offer after 1-2 days after final round, you most likely didn't get the job. But I also know, that is for Superdays or OCR, and I really didn't really have an superday and this wasn't part of OCR.. Currently, am a nervous wreck as this could be a big step for me. So if anyone can give me some color as to what to expect or if they have been in a similar situation. Any guidance is much appreciated.

I assume they would be interviewing others, but I have no idea. When do you think I should contact HR, now that's it coming to a full week of waiting tomorrow.

Difficult to gauge when you should get back to HR. I'm in a similar situation (interviewed last Tuesday and HR told me I should hear by Monday/Tuesday..) However, from my experience of dealing with them throughout the rounds, they weren't really in the loop, so I'm not sure what grounds the HR had for coming up with that date.

If you were told 'very soon' by the MD/associate, I think it's fine to reach out now, just asking for an update or when the decision is likely to be made. Maybe wait till close of play tomorrow when it'll have been a full week since your interview?

I am in similar situation as the team I would work with is scattered in two different cities, so I have been contacted by two different HR's. I'll wait till tomorrow morning to reach out to HR. Also good luck with your situation.

I reached out to HR this morning and got this as a reply:

"Thanks for following up, this is still in progress. Hoping to have an answer for you by tomorrow. Stay tuned!"

The stay tuned with the little exclamation mark provided me with a little hope I didn't have, but I guess we will find out tomorrow.

My thoughts: Option 1: You didnt get it.

Option 2: They may reach out to you over the course of the next week or so, but they are waiting to see who accepts. If the other candidates take other offers, you're in good shape.

Almost every firm says they will get back to you very soon. I'm sorry buddy but things aren't looking great. That said, I know people who received offers at larger firms 9 days after their interview, and for that same firm, my friend got his offer a few hours after the interview.

I've emailed HR last week, and since this is a position in Asia, HK office is closed this week for Chinese New Year. should i email the MD as well?

tks for kind advice. worst thing is i don't have their number. since they have been emailing me using a campus recruitment email, i dont even know which hr person is responsible for me :(

obviously there are always going to be exceptions, but yeah, pretty safe to say you're dinged. sometimes you don't ever hear back from companies, which i personally think is kind of rude. but it is what it is.

Remember, once you're inside you're on your own. Oh, you mean I can't count on you? No. Good!

target for lifeIf you are too fucking stupid to realize you didn't get the job after 3 days, you didn't deserve it in the 1st place.

Hardo.
