How much does being a student athlete help for recruiting?
I’m talking specifically Division 3 sports in this scenario. I enjoy the sport, but it would take a significant amount of time each week for practice and games.
I wouldn’t decide on playing a sport based on how it affects your recruiting. If you enjoy it, do it. If its too much of a time commitment, join a club and go when you can.
Be a college athlete. I had a lot of fun before the recruiting grind and even then some of the best times were with teammates - you definitely can't experience that kind of stuff once you start working, don't pass it up
