How to get contact info from Bloomberg?
Hey all, I am starting to build a database of networking contacts that I have either previously contacted or plan to. I have intermediate skill in using bloomberg and I am not familiar with the best way to look up specific contact info based on certain criteria. Specifically I am looking at Asset Management in the Chicago area. I would like to sort the results by the size of Assets Under Management. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome! Thanks in advance.
The search feature on there is not easy to navigate; you'll have to play around with it.
There should be a bunch of filters you can search by though, AUM may be in there. I don't remember any specific steps, but I remember always restarting the search everytime I wanted to add a new filter.
Its not Bloomberg but another decent resource is Crains Lists. http://www.chicagobusiness.com/section/lists if you are with a firm or at school they may have a subscription, but they list out all firms in your area, ranked by AUM and have address and contact info for the firms. BTW I dont know if they are worth it if you have to pay, just a decent resource if you have access.
