How to navigate delicate situation

Hi guys, hope this reaches you well. The past summer I was in Europe doing an internship at a BB... went out to a bar one night at met a guy who works at a big corporation. Was great to talk to him had some interesting stories etc. I got his card and hit him up the next weekend and we got another beer.. met some of his coworkers also cool guys. These guys aren't in finance but pretty high up in a f500 company. So some time went by and I hit him up again.. he invited me for a coffee at the office and gave me a walking tour of it. Was a nice office. He told me to shoot him my resume sometime in passing and he would send to finance director guy( wasn't specific on timing). The next day met up at the bar. and this time he invited some chicks so got hooked up basically.. bought us all dinner and drinks. After that I left back to the states ( internship was over).

How do i get back in touch with him, specifically about opportunities at the firm? I don't want to come off as needy and only using him because of his position. Basically don't want to spoil the friendship. Genuienly liked shooting the shit with him and learning his life lessons.

Thanks

Tell him:

1) You enjoyed hanging out with him 2) You miss working/living in Europe and would like to move back permanently. 3) If he hears about any opportunities, to please let let you know about them asap.

And then stay in touch with him. Shoot a friendly, non-work related email every couple weeks.

agreed with aicccia. Keep in touch by email or phone and don't seem pushy. That might be a great contact to have in your network. Sounds like a cool guy.
