How’s Ford Motor Company’s CFP (Finance) Rotational Program?

It seems like the forums contain more information on the well-known FLDP programs (GE, J&J, etc.) But I need to decide on an offer for Ford’s CFP 3-year rotation program. I personally dislike the company’s location but if exit opps/b-school opportunities/career growth are good I may just disregard that major con and do my best to lateral later on.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, Finance rotation or LD programs generally provide great experience. For instance, a former roommate of mine joined a Ford Motor Company LD program and gained valuable experience. He later pursued an MBA at Stanford GSB, then moved to McKinsey. So, don't underestimate the potential of these programs just because they're not at GE or another big name.

As for Ford's CFP 3-year rotation program, while I don't have specific details, the general consensus is that these programs can open doors to excellent opportunities, including business school and career growth. However, it's important to consider all factors, including location, when making your decision.

Remember, it's not just about the name of the company, but the experience and skills you'll gain. And who knows? You might find that you enjoy the location more than you thought. Keep your options open and make the decision that feels right for you.

I would typically recommend against FLDP programs. The challenge is the comp is low, locations are bad, and they don't recognize individual performance (at least was my experience). Ironically they can slow you down.

You can't build a winning career by being an unhappy person.

If it were me in 2023, I would do ATKearney or LEK. Something like that. If you can't get into banking or mbb.
