HR work experience question, am I fucked??

I worked at my family’s restaurant growing up and was paid under the table except for one summer. When my background check is done (EB) will this get flagged? My father (asian immigrant) said he refuses to say I worked more than one summer if they call, when on my resume I said I worked 3+ summers. Do you think they’ll reach out to my dad in the first place? I have like 3 internships following that experience but I’m worried that I’ll get my offer rescinded. Pls help thx

I think you'll be ok...that experience is immaterial to their hiring decision. You can also tell them (if you haven't already) that the business is owned by your dad and you were "working" there. You can just say it was unpaid.

Would you recommend I preemptively reach out to HR before the background check?

Can’t be reasoned with on this. Comes from the Vietnam war and hates govt so I Can’t undo a lifetime of trauma and would prefer to not bother him about this
