I need serious help!!

Hi, I'll try to do this in the shortest way possible and excuse because english is not my mother tongue. Long story short: I graduated from a private university in June 2021, I have a BBA and Msc in Finance. Tought in that time to take summer off and just relax (no networking no job hunting) and in september 2021 due to one of my parents connections who works in finance, he introduce me to IB peers (think MDs) in Spain but nobody ever contacted me, he told me to wait. In January 2022 tired of waiting I started my own job search, first I was so lost that I was applying only to top notch roles (think M&A GS, JPM..) something obviously I would never get but I tought it was possible (fucking naive I was), to make even silliest moves I was applying to visa required countries (think USA, UK..). June 2022: After six months I decided to take summer off again i come back in September. September 2022: With more knowledge I decided to concrete my search to Switzerland, Luxembourg and some other country in Europe with good future but searching for internship roles and widen the range a lot (basically everything possible). In the meantime, my gap since June 2021 is becoming larger and larger. From september to december 2022 I was making my own network little by little but no jobs offers. January 2023: I decided to move back from the capital to my hometown and study some online courses and keep the job hunt, from january to june 2023 i was contacted a few times but no offer was ever given, in this time my scope was CH and Lux, fully comitted to leave Spain. June 2023: Enrole the CFA and summer till today. I am a very strong person mentally but this two years have been fucking hard psychologically, when I mean hard I mean really hard, Some days are good other I have been thinking of quitting. It also affected to my self esteem by a lot.

Now, please give me some advice on how to reverse this situation. I need idead to justify this gap both in my CV and LinkedIn and also in interviews. I'm fully commited to leave Spain, both Lux and Switzerland are my targets, at this point two years after, it's a matter of conviction. Thank you for reading.

In this market, if I were you I'd try to squeeze myself into a big four audit department as hard as I could with a good story about the gap, then move to transaction advisory internally in a year or two as a top performer. Lateral what not comes later.

I firmly believe, you'd eventually make it to what you want to be if you put in the work.

Good luck buddy.
