IB Referrals
How do interview referrals for banks with many different groups (ie BBs) works? For example, can someone in LevFin refer for M&A? Are the interview processes altogether for different industry and product groups?

I think it definitely depends on who the referral is coming from as well as your experience. I’ve networked with MDs who have referred me to any open position because we got along. On the flip side, I have networked with associates or even analyst 2/3s who have forwarded my resume to friends in groups that my previous role overlapped with.
