IB versus Economist Position at a Bank
I'll be an SA in a bulge bracket for investment banking this summer. I'm excited for it, but I'm a little disillusioned with the industry after last summer's internship.
I have an economics degree and I'm getting two minors in computer science and data science. I'd be interested in learning a bit about the economists at these banks, what their job is like, what's needed to break in, and how it compares to investment banking. It's something I'd like to know before committing myself to a career in IB after this internship.
