IB vs PE vs VC vs HF
Call me dumb but can anyone tell me what’s the difference between these fields and how they work in dummy language…

IB - get companies the money they need to do shit, arrange one company to take over another or two companies to combine, trade money amongst other banks via complicated contracts
PE - buy up other companies, lend companies money, jack up prices and fire half the workforce
VC - throw a shit ton of money at someone with an idea, sell the company stock later on (either an IB or PE will be involved)
HF - trade stocks for rich fuckers
