If you don’t hear back at the end of your super day, then you’re out?

Been through couple FT interviews and haven’t heard back yet.

I assume it’s likely that you’re not getting the offer if you don’t hear back by the end of the super day or the day after?

Ofc it’s case by case or bank by bank, but curious about your thoughts

Back when I did my super day for a first year analyst role at a BB, it was tiered. So the kids they loved got an offer right away. The kids they kinda liked heard back in a week or two. And the kids they didn’t love, but didn’t hate could hear back after a month or so in the event some of the kids they offered said no.

It’s not hopeless if you don’t hear right away.

It's like dating man, when you don't hear back from the chick after a great date. Resist the urge to keep reaching out.

Look, I know how stressful and anxious it feels to not hear back from a super day. It means everything to you, but to a big bank you're just another interview. They're busy conducting more interviews, reviewing all the kids from the super day and doing their actual job.

They have your contact info and they know how to contact you if they want. The waiting just sucks, but that's part of interviewing.

They do it for even more senior roles than analysts. I once interviewed at BNP for a VP role. I didn't even really want it, I just wanted to start honing my interview skills again. I meant like 10 people over three weeks and then HR ghosted me. It's just how it is. The longer you don't hear, the less likely it is you got the job and it's not like if you reach out for an update they will suddenly remember you.

But if the waiting is eating you up inside, I would wait about two weeks and then email HR just asking for an update and if there is any additional information you can provide.
