I'm an idiot and I made a bad choice last year. Help me get on the right track.

Last year I chose to leave my US LAC and go to UCL in the UK for Management Science. I think I made a mistake.

So now I'm applying for reinstatement at my semi-target LAC and I just want to know how stupid I am and if I am doing the right thing in your opinions.

My LAC will have good networking opportunities I think despite its size. I just have to take advantage of them. I'd also be on a team (if I can get that back), which might help with recruiters or alumni connections. I might be bored or isolated there.

I have had nothing over the past year in the UK. No spring weeks, no internships, nothing special. I did some stuff with some kind of student paper, and I was an academic rep, both of which I know mean nothing. I originally chose to come here for the "experience" but in terms of academics and career this hasn't been working out. And that "experience" has been okay, but it isn't what I thought it would be.

So, am I doing the right thing and how dumb am I?

I know I made the choice for the wrong reason, but I was hoping to travel and work abroad, meet new people and such. That was "the experience". I left the LAC because of the frat scene of which I wasn't a part and because I was bored, which were the wrong reasons to leave--I could have been more involved.
