Improve my chances after some years in operations

I am 28 yo, I worked for 1 year in an asset manager in an operation niche. Before this, I worked for another large asset manager in the same role and before I was in a startup for 2.5 years doing excel/sql stuff. I studied in a target university but I was partying too much and I messed up recruiting and since then I am trying to climb back to a decent job. I got my CFA charter last week but it didn't help me in get in a front office role. I would like to improve my situation. I am interested in public markets and managing money, so my ideal job (now and in the future) would be portfolio analyst and then portfolio manager in a fund/family office/hedge fund.

I try to move internally but there are few positions and in general the move is quite difficult. I would like your opinion on what is the best to improve my profile and what I can realistically earn (this is in London, UK). My skills: some IT knowledge (excel/VBA/python/SQL), CFA and decent financial knowledge. I have considered the following:

1)MBA/Master in Finance. I feel this may be a bit redundant (I have already a master) , expensive and I am not sure if it is relevant for funds. Moreover, I am not sure if I would have a chance in getting in a good program as my experience is not stellar. If I choose this route, what should I do to improve my chances of getting admitted in a good program and what are the best in UK/Europe for investments? 2)Start to write on forums/blogs about value investing. This is my favourite style of investing. The pros would be that it is free and it would be valuable for me to write down my investing ideas. Do you think that a fund could be impressed in this way? I should say that I would prefer to work for a smaller fund/family office rather than for the big players 3)Do more IT courses. I like AI and I have done some courses on ML. I don't think I will ever pass a test for a quant position so I feel that increase my IT knowledge is a bit of a waste and that the returns are diminishing. 4)Any other idea/suggest on what I could do to improve my employability?

Thanks!
