Interested in Infrastructure/Project Finance
Hi All, I graduated in accounting/finance a while back. I have about 4 years of work experience in areas of audit/risk management. Afterwards, I went to graduate school and got my Master in Public Policy from a prestigious university. I am interested in infrastructure/project finance, Public-private partnerships, and public policy surrounding this area. I am still struggling to find some work in this area. Note that I am not interested in structure finance work such as in a bank. I would be interested in working at a company such as WSP or Stantec working in their advisory/consultancy area for infrastructure finance/p3.
Would appreciate any advice!
How many Engineering consulting firms have you looked into? All the main ones hire finance grads for project financing or financial feasibility projects (e.g. Arup, Mott MAcDonald and Atkins).
I feel like I have looked into quite a few. I have a feeling that this type of work is more popular in Canada, UK, Australia, S. Africa, etc. so that has made the search a bit harder.
big firms should have financial analysts all over. try checking the US offices of larger ones
I am currently an analyst, since 5 months, in an independent investment fund (>$5bn AuM) that only invest in P3s project. We finance and lead projects (DB and O&M part). Inbox me if you have some questions. Really interesting sector.
Hi are you still in this, interested to DM and discusssmore
