Interview Hedge Fund for SA position
Hi everyone.
I'm a sophomore at a target, HYPSM, trying to secure an SA with a top value shop (very traditional) hedge fund.
I have a phone interview this coming Tuesday, and I was wondering how should I prepare for it? I already read a great deal about value investing (Security Analysis - Ben Graham, and I read Einhorn's Fooling some of the People all of the time briefly as well). From what I heard, this firm is not very quanty, so should I expect a lot of technical questions and/or brainteasers?
Any insights will be greatly appreciated!
HFs in general focus less on technical questions and spend more time getting insight into how you think. As a junior guy youll probably have questions like.. What makes a good business Pitch me a stock If I gave you X company what would be your process be for evaluating said company. Why do you want to be an investor Why us? What have you read about investing
