interview with MS for quant PhD associate position
Ive been invited to a 1 hour phone interview with MS for a position in the PhD quant sales & trading Fixed Income division.
My invite mentioned that they'd want to ask 3-4 math and finance questions during the interview. Does anyone know what these would be on, or which areas they would focus on?
Also, does anyone know what other questions they ask of candidates for the phd positions.
Thank you
Out of curiosity, what is your field and what school is your phd from?
Im doing a phd in finance from university of edinburgh, but interviewing for new york.
My professor told me his PhD candidate interviewed at BCG and she got asked the what is the expected number of coin flips needed to get a HHT pattern. Then he showed us how to solve it with Markov Chains and Renewal Theory.
