Investment Banking vs Financial Planning/wealth mgmt

I am currently in a dilemna about which career path I should take and more specifically how to best prep myself for the choosen path. I ahve an extremely strong interest in the financial field and am struggling between the idea of either being a financial advisor or getting involved in ibanking, probably starting out as an associate. Currently I am an officer in the Army and am in the begining stages of applying for business school. My contract will be up in basically 3yrs and if all goes to plan I will be done with bschool right around that time as well. So I guess my very specific question is for each path what would best position me for landing a "good" job after my contract is up. For instance, with flinancial planning would it behoove me to get my cfp before going on interviews? and would going to bschool even really be necessary? as for the investment banking route I gather the idea that bschool is pretty much a necessity but is there anything else I can do to increase my chances of landing a nice job or at least some respectable interviews. I know networking is obviously huge in both careers but would getting my cfa be beneficial at all or any other cerfications help? any advice is greatly appreciated. And not to draw out my question but one last thing which brings me full circle is that I am still very much up in the air about which path is more preferred, I know that prob 99% comes down to which best suites me but if anyone has any opinions they'd like to divulge on pros and cons of the two jobs vs each other Id be more than willing to listen.

Thanks
