Is Both Emailing and Inmailing Alumni OK?
Hello fellow monkeys,
Is it alright to email alumni and send them the same message on linkedin to increase my response rate?
Thank you all so much.

If I see two of the same messages for one person, I am just going to ignore it.
I think he will only open one of them.
If he/she only opens one of them, wouldn't that still be OK since I am trying to increase the chances of him/her opening my email/inmail?
I wouldn't do this. It's too weird.
agreed, this is super stalker
To add to my last comment, I would only ever consider using LinkedIn to message someone if I don't have their email - if you have the email there is no need to use LinkedIn

If you're sure it's their email, just following up a second time (a week or two later) might be the best way to go about getting a better response rate.
Is The Real Max's way the most common approach to increase the response rate after you have sent a cold email or an email to an alumnus and not received a response? This might be a weird question, but would you keep sending the same follow up email every week?
Are you autistic or something?
Follow up once, maaaaaybe twice. But if after 2 or 3 emails you don't get a response, it means they're ignoring you purposely.
Knocking on their door, taking out full-page ads in the WSJ and hiring a skywriter will almost guarantee a response.
